Gaining a clear financial vision, for a better future.
Building a business takes vision, energy, and relentless focus. Most entrepreneurs pour their effort into winning customers and growing revenue—but financial operations often lag behind. When financial structure is weak, leaders are forced to make critical decisions with incomplete or inaccurate information.
Specializing in fractional CFO consulting for small and mid-sized businesses, Cykoski Ventures brings structure, discipline, and clarity to financial operations. The firm works alongside business owners and leadership teams to improve profitability, support growth initiatives, and ensure financial decisions align with long-term business objectives.

Chris Cykoski is a seasoned finance executive and board leader with more than 30 years of experience helping companies grow, improve performance, and create long-term value. His career spans telecommunications, digital media, manufacturing, private equity-backed businesses, and emerging technology and infrastructure platforms.
Chris works closely with company founders, board, investors, development partners, and other stakeholders to build the financial and operating foundation needed to scale a business. His background includes evaluating investment opportunities, supporting capital decisions, developing financial models and operating plans, and translating strategies into an executable path forward.
Earlier in his career, Chris held finance and operating leadership roles with Verizon and other telecommunications businesses, developing deep experience in large-scale operations, recurring-revenue models, capital-intensive infrastructure, and performance management. More recently, he held a financial leadership role with Brightspeed and served as CFO of a founder-led, multi-entity growth company, where he improved cash flow, reduced accounts receivable and days sales outstanding, strengthened financial controls, and supported organizational growth and transformation.
Across these roles, Chris has led financial planning and analysis, profit-and-loss management, pricing, forecasting, capital allocation, working-capital improvement, and business transformation. He brings structure and financial discipline to complex situations while maintaining a practical understanding of operations and execution.
Recognized as a thoughtful, hands-on leader he connects financial strategy with operational reality. His approach is grounded in clear priorities, disciplined decision-making, and a focus on building durable businesses that create value for shareholders, employees, partners, and the communities they serve.
